Partnerships

The Rose Foundation (WoD Canon NPC, H:tR) Ignoring the name, The Rose Foundation is an anonymous group of patrons that backs the hunters from time to time, giving gifts of money, information, documents, or directions that allow the continued watch and movement against the supernatural threat. While some have grown to believe that the deVries family are amongst these patrons, Isaac and the other hunters within his lineage have declined such notions as their work is entirely open amongst the community.

Magadon, Incorporated (WoD Canon NPC, W:tF) Magadon, Inc. is a pharmaceutical company based out of New Jersey. In the early 1960s, shortly after the company was taken over by Pentex, ES: NYC signed a partnership contract to crack the Campesi Gerontological Research’s wonder drug, Anagath F45.6. While the formula isn’t perfect, it has bridged a partnership with Magadon, giving associates within both parties the ability to move seamlessly. Magadon is also partnering in the Purely Water Campaign.

Anagath 45.6 is a drug derived from vampire blood, giving the user an extension of life. The negative trait is that it also renders the user to being more susceptible to certain, mental-related vampire disciplines (telepathy, forms of presence/glamour, dependant on the universe, etc.)

Campesi Gerontological Research (WoD Canon NPC, W:tF, V:tM) Campesi is partially funded and operated by Clan Giovanni. Enzo created the Anagath formula and distributed it amongst their partnered companies to gain majority control over various CGR board members. In the 1990s, Enzo acquired Isaac deVries, one of the junior ES scientists that was attempting to crack his formula, as a blood bound, Dominated, totally in control ghoul.

In 1998, Enzo and five of his offspring died a rather mysterious death, therefore breaking off the CGR’s resource of vampire blood to continue the manufacturing of Anagath. By 2000, CGR removed the drug off the market. Clan Giovanni has since heard of ES’s present collection and made an offer. It’s unknown if the clan knows of ES’s involvement in Enzo’s death, but so far things are looking up!)

Marchese Foods (WoD OC, V:tM) Marchese Foods is operated by Vito Marchese of Clan Giovanni. Their partnership was recently acquired by Katazyna deVries with the employment of Nica Marchese, a ghoul, within the ES ranks. Nica has a low security access within the building and network; she takes over for Lucas Pryor, a formerly Malkavian ghoul that turned vampire after biting Nicolae Dracul. Hopefully, they will also be distributing Purely Water.

Browning Medical Associates (OC) Browning Medical Associates is a partnership through Isaac deVries and Nick Browning, offering to ES an advancement in their hematological studies with the additional genetics. BMA is partially responsible for the twins, Alpheus and Katazyna, becoming hunters because of the drug that heightens the chances of connecting with whatever causes the latency of hunters to become activated. The kids are also connected in the secondary, genetic effect of their mother, Hazel - although since activation, the latter has been removed from file.

Medical Security Center (OC) Their most recent partnership - on the record, MSC and Ethan Granger are there for the Research and Development, the ES primary facility in ES: Los Angeles. R&D specializes in the creation of first and second generation medical products, testing them on voluntary patients and involuntary patients that are occasionally given by the government or signed off by various psychiatric units.

(At the present moment, Isaac is a NPC. I have considered him giving a second chance at being a real character. Lets see how he does with ES in Katja's journal first. He'll be taking up the 15th icon slot.)

Short Bio

Izaak Henrik deVries always enjoyed a good challenge, and that is, perhaps, the only trait that is consistent within the lineage. Throughout grade school up to graduation, his schedules were filled, soaking in endless knowledge with a boxing career that could’ve taken him to the Olympics had he decided to go straight to college. Instead, he went for the military. Brave and with a potential bright future, he was dishonorably discharged after voluntarily shooting a fellow soldier in the head. Izaak was taken to UPMC Shadyside and later ES Psychiatric. After being released, he attended college and joined Existential Solutions as a prominent face, a businessman, a father, and a fighter.

The discharge was recognized early by the ES psychiatrists. At the time, Imbued were few, only glimpses into human potential in the endless war against the supernatural. After being called by the Messengers, in order to save the rest in his company, Isaac willingly shot a werewolf.

To this day, Isaac has been defending the homestead and the family while keeping a company presence. While his actions might seem cruel, if they’re understood, the fact will no longer matter - at least, that is what he believes.
